Rangers Lose a Close One
Peach Kings weather Rangers late pressure.
The Peach Kings were in the 'Brook' last Tuesday for an evening tilt. The boys came out flat as Grimsby managed to score on the first shift of the game. They would later add a power play goal to take a 2-0 lead. The Rangers fought back and managed to play some great hockey as the game went on, but outstanding goaltending was the story in this game. Mitchell Wilson turned away plenty of rubber and make some dazzling saves to help keep the game close. Down the stretch Mitchell made a highlight reel save as he went post to post and kicked away a sure goal by Grimsby. With the goalie out and six attackers the Rangers continued to battle and played hard to the final buzzer. Final Score 3-2.
Despite not getting the 'W' the boys showed great signs of getting back on track. Mitchell Wilson earned the player of the game award in what was easily his best game of the year. Keep it up Wilson!
