Comeback Ends in a 2-2 Tie
After a slow start the boys found their game.
Back at home on Tuesday night the Rangers faced the the Garden City Falcons. The boys started slow and found themselves down 2-0 early. The Rangers stormed back with a pair of their own. It was Wesley Ogilvie who got things started in the second period. Wesley took the puck through the neutral zone, found a seam up the middle and took the puck to the net. Wesley stuck with the play and slid the puck past the tender from an impossible angle. In the third period Anthony Sayej made a tape to tape pass to Caleb Huot and without hesitation he sent the puck into the back of the cage. The boys played strong down the stretch and battled hard to a 2-2 final.
Wesley Ogilvie was given the player of the game award for his awesome goal, outstanding play and most importantly his courage to even dress for this game. With a heavy heart Wesley decided to play the game he loves and he seemed determined to score in honour of his father. It seemed almost automatic the second that he got the puck on his stick. His teammates and coaches knew this was a special moment for Wesley. Keep your head up Wes!
