Getting up to speed...
Its been a busy few weeks!
On January 13th the Rangers started their Playdown series with the NOTL Wolves. In a rare home game at the Quad Pad the boys game out strong and played to a 5-1 win. Anthony Sayej led the way and earned the player of the game. Ranger take the series lead!
The Peach Kings rolled into town on January 19th for a regular season match-up. It wasn't a regular game for the Rangers. This night was about supporting our teammate Wesley. With the support of his current teammates, past teammates, coaches and family the boys took the ice on an emotional high. The Rangers scored early and battled a strong Peach King team for the entire game. Despite playing some great hockey the game ended 4-2 for Grimsby. Emerson Schaubel was named player of the game. Emerson played an outstanding game as he won faceoffs, battled hard and backchecked all game.
Game 2 of our playdown series took place last Friday night. Travelling to NOTL didn't seem to impact our play. The boys were determined to end the series as they controlled most of the play and found the back of the net eight times. Oliver young earned himself the player of the game for his relentless attack, great passing and two goals. Once again all the kids played great. Rangers win 8-1. Next up will be a regular season game versus Lincoln. Our 2nd round series with the Lincoln Blades starting January 31st.
