Rangers Beat Tillsonburg in Round Robin Finale
Rangers win 9th in a row to wrap-up the round robin.
Two unbeaten teams faced off on Sunday for the 1st seed in the Southern Counties Atom AE Division. It was a great match-up that saw outstanding goaltending at both ends. The Rangers relentless effort paid off late in the third period as Noah Frankovich went in alone and buried the game winner. Nick Tavares earned his 7th shutout in the last eight games and our stellar defense (Micah, Max, Hudson and Jayden) helped keep the Tornados scoring chances to a minimum. Every player showed up ready to battle as the Rangers went on to win 1-0. Broden Powell earned the games hard hat for his solid play in both the faceoff circle and along the boards. Great job Broden! No doubt we could have given out another 11 hard hats after this game.
