Rangers Tame the Flames in Ayr
The Rangers found themselves in another battle tonight, this time versus the always tough Ayr Flames.
What a great game for this group of hard working players! The game remained scoreless after one period as Nick Tavares made some big saves to close the door. The second period saw the defence give up limited shots and again the game remained tied after two periods. Part way into the third, Austin Murphy opened the scoring, Broden Powell followed suit and Adrian Resovac sealed the deal as the clock wound down. Alex Tadeson, Jayden Julien, Broden Powell and Austin Murphy all chipped in with helpers as another total team effort was key to this victory. Luke Abbott did an outstanding job as he moved from forward to defence and his partner Max Sciullo put together another solid effort as these Rangers went on to win 3-0. Nick Tavares earned the hard hat with his 6th shutout in a row! That's a pretty big accomplishment for Nick and the entire team! Another big accomplishment is winning our 7th straight game! Bring on the Caledonia Thunder this Thursday.
