Opening Day Set For September 16th, 2017
*The GMHA is
pleased to announce that Opening Day is scheduled for Saturday September 16th at the
Glanbrook Arena. Local League evaluations will take place on this
day beginning with Hockey School followed by Tyke, Novice, Atom, Peewee, Bantam
and Midget divisions. The day’s events will include a bouncy castle,
face painting and a fire truck for the younger age groups among other attractions. Hockey School and Tyke evaluations are both split into 2 groups on Saturday September 16th. Hockey School skaters with their last name beginning with A-M will skate at 8am. Hockey School skaters with their last name beginning with N-Z will skate at 9am. This procedure will also take place for the Tyke division. Tyke skaters with their last name beginning from A-M will skate at 10am while skaters with their last name beginning with N-Z will skate at 11am. Parents must sign in at the registration table before evaluations and confirm their email address.
Teams will be created the week following evaluations. Your team coach will then contact you and notify each player of their team and first practice.
Saturday September 16th Evaluation Times:
8am-9am – Hockey school (A-M)
9am-10am – Hockey School (N-Z)
10am-11am – Tyke (A-M)
11am-12am – Tyke (N-Z)
12am-1pm – Novice Local League
1pm-2pm – Atom Local League
2pm-3pm – Peewee Local League
3pm-4pm – Bantam Local League
4pm-5pm – Midget Local League
