Game#1
Second tournament of
the season and our Rangers came out strong. Our boys dominated the entire game
winning 9-2 against the North London Admirals. Every player made a contribution
to the win with Carter scoring a hat trick and earning MVP of the game. Great
job by all boys!
Game #2
We traveled to Parkdale Arena to play the Cambridge Hawks for our second game of the day. Our Rangers fell behind to begin the first period 1-0. Then the Hawks made it a 2-0 game going into the second. The boys never gave up fighting back scoring early in the second and tying it up later in the period. Winning goal scored by Max in the third to end the game 3-2 for our hard working Rangers. Amazing start, keep playing hard.
Game #3
Rangers vs Hamilton Huskies White was another dominating game for our boys. Great back checking, forechecking, passing and goal tending. Another well rounded game by the entire team. Final score 10-2.
Game #4
The boys took on the Hamilton Huskies Red for our fourth round robin game. We took the lead 2-0 before the Huskies put themselves on the board. A third goal scored in the last couple minutes of the second period wrapped up the game with a score of 3-1. This win put us first in our pod going 4-0 and moving on to the semi finals.
Game #5 -- Semis
A bit of a slow start as our Rangers took on the Hamilton Huskies White team in the semi final game. However, the boys pulled it together winning 4-0 with Drew getting the shutout in net. On to the championship!! Go Rangers Go!!
