Minor Peewees go to Notre Dame
The Minor Peewee Rangers took a long drive this weekend to compete in the Irish Cup tournament in South Bend, Indiana. Game #1
The Rangers took the ice at the Notre Dame Rink for their first tournament of the season on Friday afternoon. Not quite the start we were hoping for as we came up short losing 3-1 against the Tecumseh Eagles.
Game #2
Our Rangers came up against Fox Motors Bell during their second game. We fell behind 1-0 in the first and tied it up in the second. Then fell behind again 2-1. With 4 min left in the third period our Rangers tied the game for a second time only to end up losing 3-2. Great effort by every player.
Game #3
Our Rangers came out strong taking the lead for the first time all tournament. Then the Novi Firecats fought back tying the game 1-1. The Firecats couldn't keep up with our boys though as we came out with a 4-2 victory. Unfortunately, we fell 1 goal short from making the finals.
A great overall weekend for all players, parents and siblings. Another tournament this coming weekend, time to regroup and bring home a championship!!
