The Inspiration of Little Anya
Dear GMHA Family,
It is with a heavy heart that we share the sad news that Anya Martinez passed away at the age of 10 years old. Little Anya battled cancer since she was 2 years old and her journey has been a roadmap of Courage, Strength and, most importantly, Joy.
For the Glanbrook Rangers Minor Hockey Association, little Anya was the inspiration behind Rangers4Lives, a fundraising project that started in 2016 and aimed at supporting our local children’s hospital (Mackids), to help children like Anya. Rangers4Lives has taught our families and children that although playing hockey is a privilege, they can harness the power of hockey to support the community and ultimately raise good citizens who care about others.
May little Anya Rest in Peace and May her memory continue to inspire individuals to live in joy and add happiness to others in need.
