Glanbrook Arena Entrance Under Construction
*As most are aware, the Glanbrook Arena will soon be under construction to install an elevator to the building. Due to this, the arena's front entrance will be closed off. The entrance will be moved to the side of the building at the start of construction to accommodate the arena during winter use. The front of the building will be closed off and an addition will be constructed to house the elevator. This project is expected to be completed by spring, 2018.
Both of these projects are part of the Canada 150 Grants through David Sweet our MP. The Canada 150 grant provides about 1/3 of the dollars needed for the project and the City provides the other 2/3 of the dollars for the project. It is an excellent opportunity to obtain upgrades that are quite costly, but very beneficial to the community.
