In the inaugural season of the NDHL Tyke MD division, Glanbrook's Tyke MD Rangers are the first ever division Champions! With an outstanding record of 35-1-3 and coming off a Whitby tournament win in February, the Boys found themselves in a tough final series with Garden City. Despite a record of 8-0-1 against the Falcons this season, this final series proved to be a memorable one going the distance. Game 1 saw the Rangers on top 5-0. However the Falcons fought off elimination in game 2 at the Meridian Centre with a 5-2 win, handing the Rangers their second loss this season. Game 3, which was thought to be the deciding game, ended in a dramatic 4-4 tie. Clearly the boys on both sides wanted to make this series the most memorable of the season for their fans. The final deciding Game 4 took place last night in St. Catharines to a packed crowd. The Rangers didn't disappoint as they fought hard to finished the game with a 4-2 win to become the first ever NDHL Tyke MD Champions.
Congratulation to the Falcons for an amazing series and one to remember for a long time.
A big congratulations to the first ever Tyke MD Rangers and to the Coaches for a remarkable season with a final record of 37-2-4!
