PEEWEE RANGERS BRING HOME THE VETERANS CUP CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!
Submitted By cbulbrook on Tuesday, November 12, 2013
Congratulations to the Peewee Rangers as they competed in the Veterans Cup Tournament in Pittsburgh over the weekend.

The Rangers played some hard fought games starting the tournament out with a 4-4 tie against the Toronto Aeros AA team.  Their second game was a dominant 5-1 win over the Ashbridge Virginia Xtreme.  The Rangers finished out the round robin with a solid 2-2 tie against the Windsor Jr Spitfires AA team.

The Rangers finished the round robin in second place and earned the right to play for the championship against the Toronto Aeros.  The game was a thrilling affair with the boys scoring first and then falling behind 3-1.  The Rangers refused to give up and battled back to tie the game.  The game went to sudden death overtime and despite the constant pressure by our Rangers the period ended with the teams deadlocked.  The game was finally decided in a shootout where our Rangers prevailed.

Congratulations to all the boys on a tremendous effort and a terrific tournament carrying on from where our Atom Rangers left off with their Tourney win at the beginning of the season!!!
