St. Mary's Tournament Champions!!!
This weekend our boys participated in the St. Mary's Tournament and came home with the GOLD!!!
From the very first game, the boys gave it everything they had which put us in first place after the round robin play giving us a bye to the semi-finals. We faced the St. Thomas Stars in the semi's and came away with a 4-1 victory. Heading to the championship game we faced the Ayr Flames. It was a nail-biting game with a score of 0-0 with less than ten minutes in the game. Ayr took the lead but our Rangers battled back and tied it up with minutes left in the game. Regular play ended in a 1-1 tie sending us into 3 on 3 overtime. An intense sitting on the edge of your seat overtime battle leaving the game tied. Now we head into shootouts. We only gave up one goal and scored two to take the win and the championship!!!
So proud of the hard work and dedication that our Rangers put forth this weekend!
