Peterborough Liftlock Tournament
The Atom Reps battled this weekend in the Peterborough Liftlock Tournament and went a cool 3-0 in their round robin play.

In their semi final game, the boys came out slow & found themselves down a goal after the 1st shift of the game. Gradually pouring it on strong and tying it up 1-1, the momentum was heavily on our side.  An unfortunate incident happened at the horn ending the second period when a Seaway Valley player caught a rut and went heavily into the boards.  Paramedics had to be called & after a 10 min delay they started the 3rd period.  Seaway came out strong again, this time for their fallen teammate, and buried one during the 1st shift of the 3rd period.  Despite the multiple changes & the clear control of the game which the Rangers possessed, they just couldn't put one away in the 3rd & found themselves out of the tournament with a 2-1 loss.  However, they boys enjoyed a great weekend of hockey, mini sticks & manhunt.  They also enjoyed the Peterborough Pete's game on Saturday night against the Oshawa Generals.  The highlight of the night came at intermission when they boys watched Coach Sil & Coach Cory battle each other on the ice with a shooting contest.  Coach Sil's technique was proven successful while some questioned Coach Cory's effort level.  The boys were just happy neither were injured or took a penalty :)

Our thoughts go out to the injured Seaway Valley player wishing him a full recovery!
