Instructor: Kevin McKnight

Kevin has been involved in hockey for over 40 years. His involvement has given him experience in many aspects of the game.  He played the majority of his hockey in Toronto and the surrounding area and his minor days were largely with the MTHL (now the GTHL).  When his playing years were coming to an end Kevin became more involved in the game through refereeing and coaching.  He officiated for over 20 years in minor hockey, Junior levels and Varsity hockey.  While officiating in the Ontario Hockey Association, he achieved his level 5 of 6 levels through the Hockey Canada Officiating Program.  His coaching has taken him through all levels in his development from house league, AA, AAA and Junior B and Junior C.  He has been a part of the coaching staff with the Dundas Blues Jr C hockey club for two successful seasons.  Kevin was Assistant Coach with the Junior B Stoney Creek Warriors during their back to back Golden Horseshoe Conference Championships and Sutherland Cup runs.  Kevin obtained his High Level Performance I in 2014.  He has been chosen to coach in the upcoming OHF/OHL under 15 Program of Excellence.  Previously he was chosen as a coach for the OMHA under 17 Program of Excellence Camp, also assisting in choosing players for Team Ontario.  Kevin’s Under 17 team went undefeated. Kevin is a Hockey Canada trained Skills Instructor (Skating, Puck Control, Developing Defensemen, Small Area Games).  Kevin is an OMHA Instructor, NCCP and NCMP facilitator throughout Southern Ontario developing coaches with clinics and seminars.  Kevin is excited to be a part of the Glanbrook Minor Hockey Association and looks forward to bringing success to his team through the development of all players.
